New Delhi: In a major development in the Red Fort area car bomb blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another crucial associate linked to the deadly attack that claimed 10 lives and injured 32 people.
The accused, Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir, was apprehended by an NIA team from Srinagar as part of ongoing investigations under case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.
According to the NIA, Jasir played a significant role in the terror conspiracy, providing specialised technical support for the attack. He allegedly modified drones and attempted to build rockets to aid terror operations, working closely with the main perpetrator, Umar un Nabi, to plan the car bomb explosion near the Red Fort.

Investigators describe Jasir as an active co-conspirator whose technical expertise was instrumental in preparing for the attack.
The NIA is continuing its extensive probe, following multiple leads and conducting searches across several states to expose the full network behind the bombing. The agency reiterated its commitment to identifying and apprehending every individual involved in the terror plot.
